Lakeside Coaches can trace its origins to 1979 when the Lakeside Minicoaches business was taken over by Mr. John Davies (the present day Managing Director and Chairman). From these humble beginnings the business has gone from strength to strength through organic growth, operating the most modern coach fleet in the county of Shropshire and the largest coach fleet in North Shropshire, North East Wales and South Cheshire. The company operates a fleet of 26 vehicles from the picturesque market towns of Ellesmere and Market Drayton, backed by nearly 40 directly employed staff.
From our headquarters in Ellesmere and our satellite depot in Market Drayton (Hodnet) we dispatch coaches all over the country, primarily though within the County of Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales, and the West Midlands.
The company offers 16-59 seater coaches available for hire to numerous individuals, groups and corporate customers. The company has a wide portfolio of work, with the bulk being made up of student transport for nearly 20 schools and colleges. Our coaches are instantly recognisable in either their traditional and smart livery of gold, light and dark green or alternatively in tour operator livery for those on dedicated touring work.
The firm still continues to grow year on year with the addition of more coaches, staff and customers. This steady but sure growth helps to give an air of continuity and reliability for our customers.
