Come on You Reds

Twitter has been alive with the announcement of our backing of Wrexham FC to honour our partnership stretching backing over the last 10 years.  With the good feeling and buzz around the Glyndwr University Stadium as the reds set their sights on promotion, we thought it important to show our support to Phil Jones and the Commercial team to spur on other local businesses.

So follow our lead, Lakeside are top for Coach hire in Wrexham.

Coach and Bus Week Article

Following on from the news article on us in Route One magazine.  Coach and Bus Week published a similarly complimentary article in their magazine on our recent purchases!

The latest bout of publicity has caused a stir of interest in the company as everyone is intrigued at our constant investment and development in these challenging market conditions!

Route One Article

Check out the article on us in Route One Magazine, listing our most recent developments; including the fleet updates for the year, the expansion programme and our preparation for the stricter LEZ legal regulations for coach operations in London.

So a big thanks to Andy Izzat and the team at Route One for the coverage once again after his multiple page special feature on our operation a few years ago.

Expansion Continues, Takeover Complete

We can announce that we have taken over the assets, employees and goodwill of Sargeants of Hodnet (S.G. Sargeant) after the sudden death of owner Mr. Sargeant.  He had been a close friend of the directors and management of Lakeside for many years and whilst it is with sadness, it is also with pride that we are able to absorb the business built by him and started by his father over 80 years ago.

The aim is to maintain the high standards and meticulous attention to detail, service and presentation that the business was built upon.  We have met many customers and thank them for their continued support.  All transactions will be with Lakeside Coaches Ltd, to allow customers to benefit from our streamlined sales and payment systems.

This provides us with the platform we need to expand further across Shropshire, across to the Staffordshire border and down to Telford.  East Shropshire customers can contact the sales team on 01630 685706.

Get in touch today for all your coach hire; Karen, Lindsey and Chris in the sales team are waiting for your call!

How does Twenty Sound!

Oop’s! we may have slightly underestimated things, it looks like we’re on for more like 20,000 hits for the next 12 months.  Thanks for all the visits folks, keep up to date with all the latest news on your smartphone by following us on http://twitter.com/#!/lakesidecoaches .

The Figures are Out!

Better than any of us could have expected, 17,000; thats the number of visitors we’re on target for over the next twelve months. A fantastic increase from the previous 500 hits a month we were getting prior to the launch of our new branding.

I quote “if we could hit the 1,000 hits per month, that would be great”, with the hit count growing by the day, we’ve absolutely smashed that target!

These figures don’t even take into account Twitter® traffic, which if it is as successful as our main corporate website will be a great addition.

Lakeside get Everywhere!

Google “Lakeside Coaches” images and you get some pictures of the fleet in some far flung places!

Thanks to the loyal band of Lakeside spotters, our customers, crew and followers are able to track the vehicles on their travels around the country and the more astute folks maybe able to recognise some familiar faces behind the wheel.

We’re never failed to be impressed in the interest people take in the fleet.  With our increased touring network, you’re more than likely to meet one of our vehicles in Central London, passing down the Champs Elysee, emerging from the Mont Blanc Tunnel or traversing a mountain pass in the Alps as you are down the Shropshire and Cheshire Lanes!
